Our Content Management System, FrogCMS, was designed to be the powerful foundation to Web sites that exceed business expectations. The purpose of FrogCMS is to split the Web site into three logical areas: Content, Code, and Infrastructure. People with varying technical skills and business objectives typically administer each of these areas.

Content
Provided by experts within the enterprise, content is the Web site's basic fuel. Content must be timely, topical, and consumable. Content providers are typically on tight deadlines and have little or no programming skills. Their focus is to provide effective communication via the site and they want the technical details to be invisible. Content is expected to be consistently displayed and highly available.

Code
Controls the appearance and functionality within the site. Code is used to implement the design of the site, including varying views within a single site. From display of the home page to form processing and E-commerce, code is the engine that drives the site. Centralized code is used to provide consistent display of varied content, meeting or exceeding the accessibility requirements of the site.

Infrastructure
Servers, databases, firewalls, site monitoring, intrusion detection, encryption, authentication, backups, anti-virus, and networking cover the basics of infrastructure. Serving as the frame and body of the site, infrastructure is one of the things Content Providers and Coders want to take for granted. With solid infrastructure each knows that their content will be highly available and protected from malicious changes. Should outages occur the system must quickly recover and provide robust tools to proactively monitor the health of the site.

Tools
FrogCMS provides robust tools for each type of user. Our system is simple enough for a single Web master to run the entire site. It is also scaleable and can provide hundreds of users a secure mechanism for authoring, approving, displaying, and monitoring sites with thousands of pages.

Asset Directories
FrogCMS handles any type of content and any type of output. For example, FrogCMS can manage images, Word documents, PDF’s, CAD files, Driver files, and so on.  The CMS keeps track of every version of every digital asset.  The system can publish content as web pages, into databases, as RSS or wireless feeds, or into records management systems. 

Search
FrogCMS Search, one of the most powerful hosted search service available on the market today, is included as part of any FrogCMS Intranet or Extranet.  It can read any common document type, meta-data associated with images or other non-text assets, and will only deliver search results to those with permissions to see that content.  Advanced search, "sounds like", category search, multi-site search, related concept search, and automated categorization and “clustering” are just a few of the standard features.

Hosting
FrogCMS provides Web Hosting from Tier 1 data centers, and comes completely managed and completely supported.   Like every other FrogCMS feature, hosting is optional. 

Authentication and Security Management
Managers of Intranets and/or Extranets need to be able to control access to live content (authenticate) and determine which site visitors can access which sets of content (Manage Content Security).   Site managers also need to be able manage the user lists themselves, or integrate the lists with existing systems (LDAP, Active Directory).  FrogCMS configures, integrates and manages the entire solution as part of our standard offering.

Calendars
Corporate calendars, group calendars, event calendars, etc.  All are standard capabilities of the FrogCMS Intranet/Extranet solution.   FrogCMS supports integration with Outlook.

Company Directories
This is typically the most accessed section of an intranet, FrogCMS enables searchable, sortable company directories, and draws data from an existing database, if desired.

Brand Asset Management/Image Management
Manage directories of images.  Protect view/download access to individuals with permissions.  Keep the most recent, approved images online for use by marketing, sales, partners, etc.  Sometimes, the entire purpose of an extranet is for the management of images.  FrogCMS built the system to enable this.
